March 28, 2008 at 9:26 am | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a commentSometimes Chicago holds little vortexes of goodness, pockets of peace that you can slip into if you’re very lucky: homemade tacos, Andrew Bird, ginger beer and rum drinks with names like “warm and dark” or “dark and stormy,” candles, Walt Disney movies that make us cry about little Scottish dogs that never, ever leave their master’s side. Even after the master dies and is buried in the kirkyard.
